Strify pulled on a teal and black plaid vest as chuckled and nodded, "I think I am. And they can't be that bad." The smile on his face slowly began to disappear, "Right?" His eyes were slightly worried.

Chloe hesitated, "I wish I could promise you that they aren't that bad." She told him. Chloe put her arms around him, "Just a quick warning... they're pretty strict, so..." She looked up at him a worried expression and then took a step back, "Should we get going?"

"Evan, will you quit fussing with your hair!" Maryanne Gates snapped at her husband. "Well... Okay, hold on!" He sighed, walking out, his short, dirty blond hair was combed. "Now, remember, be nice Chloe's boyfriend." She told him. He responded with a "Yeah, yeah, yeah...." which she rolled her eyes at. "I'll try to be nice..." He muttered.

Strify smiled nervously. "Well, there's no time better than the present. Or say they say." He shut off the lights in the room and took a deep breath, "Let's go." As the two of them walked down the hallway, Strify could help but wonder if they would like him, or even approve of him being Chloe's boyfriend. Maybe I could've done without the glitter around my eyes. Or the skinny jeans, a small part of him thought worriedly. No, no, no. Might as well be myself since being someone you're not never gets you anywhere.

"I guess." Chloe laughed. She nodded, Chloe was nervous about how her parents would react to Strify. She could only hope for the best, she wasn't too worried about her mom, but he dad was a whole different story. Well... It'll be interesting. She thought.
~*~Fast-forward(?)~*~
Evan and Maryanne opened the door, "Chloe, we missed you!" Her mom pretty much dragged her into the house. Evan just stood with his arms crossed and looked at Strify with a sort of 'wow'-look. "Er, Mom, Dad, this is my boyfriend." Chloe said, nervously gesturing to him. Evan nodded, and picked up his beer. It might be a good thing to start drinking again... He thought. "Hai! It's nice to meet you finally... I'm Marryanne and this is my husband, Evan." Chloe's mom said, smiling at him. "Chloe's been avoiding us..." "Nice, how you put it, mom." Chloe mumbled. "Anyways, come on in." Chloe's mom nodded.
Maryanne could probably overlook just about anything... Being as happy-go-lucky as she is. Okay, she wasn't thrilled about the metal in Strify's face... And she could do without the glitter. Actually, she was really wondering about the glitter. Evan on the other hand pretty much disapproved entirely. His rules seemed to vanish into thin air. Joy. Okay, Chloe was twenty-one. But still. As he and Marryanne disappeared into the living room he could only hope the kid didn't stick around too long.
Chloe glanced at Strify, and said, "Okay. Let's go." She said, grabbing Strify's hand nervously and walking into the house. "I can already tell it's going to be fabulous..." Chloe whispered.
