A new disease has broken out in Cougar City, a disease that has innocent people dying. But are they truly dying? The scientists in Abyss Laboratory don't think they are since their bodies are coming back as mindless and flesh consuming zombies. A single bite is all it takes for you to get infected and, to become one of them, it can take anywhere from one to three hours until you are one of them. One scientist, Dr. Julie Wilson, has been working on a anti-virus for the disease.
The disease raged for almost three years, killing and bringing back hundreds of thousands before she finally created a successful anti-virus. Very few people still reside in Cougar City, and those that do are very anti-social in fear of being attack by the zombie that walk seemingly-aimlessly through the once extremely populated city.
Over the years, the zombies began to learn and adapt and evolve. They were no longer mindless, just wandering through the city and preying on any that crossed their path. They began to plan attacks on groups of people, communicating with one another, learning how the humans were adapting and figuring out how to kill the zombies.
This is basically a battle of the fittest. Which species are the alpha and the omega? Will the self-educated zombies destroy the remaining humans in Cougar City and move on to conquer until they extinguish humans completely or will the humans -- either in Cougar City or somewhere else -- bring the up-rising zombies down and stomp their numbers into nothing but dust?
