Welcome to Rome High School. Home of the Romans (How Creative...) RHS is located in Rome, New York. With a population of about 35,000 it can be considered somewhat small. The town has nice ma' and pa' shops that make most feel comfortable and at home. They have a few big name stores as well but it's still friendly. Though not everybody knows everybody's name they still seem to just be one big happy city.
Currently in Rome it's in the mid 20's and snowing outside. Today is the first day back from Winter Break, January 7, 2012.
I'll edit this soon to have more of a detail but I want to start it so there (:

"Joey! Give me the pin back! I need it for my binder!" Laura screamed from her bedroom. She just needed to put her binder on and Laura would be Laura no more. Luke would take her place. The way she felt nice and comfortable. She quickly searched for another pin and whisprered thanks as she found one. She pinned her binder into place and her B cups suddenly became flat against her chest. She slipped on an undershirt and put a button up plaid shirt on top. She slipped her hat on and made sure her bangs were just in the right spot. "Luke! Come on you're going to be late for the bus!" His mother called from the kitchen where the smell of fresh baked muffins made his tummy rumble. "Coming mama!" Luke called and slipped on his shoes looking in the mirror. His brown hair was just past his ears and his bangs swept across his forehead and didnt dare get in front of his brown eyes. He stood at about 5'8 and could easily pad for a guy. Luke and his family had moved here when he was a freshman and started living as Luke. Today only his closest friends know Luke was actually born Laura. He also was 13 at the time, having skipped a grade. Now he was 16 and a senior. He grabbed a muffin on the way out and jumped onto the bus quickly. He was the first of his friends on the bus. He was the first on the bus period. He grabbed his phone sending a mass text "Goodmorning my lovely friends! The bus is heading your way!"

ooc|| That post makes me think of the transman I follow on Tumblr. Hah. (: It was going to be another slow and normal day in the small town of Rome, New York. At least, it would be slow in the opinion of Brooklyn born boy Sidney. He was used to the hustle and bustle of city life, having lived it for fifteen years. But, then his parents started having problems that wound up with his father in jail, his mother in a state "unfit" to raise her son in, and with Sid having to move in with his grandparents. It wasn't his ideal way for the situation to have panned out for the last three years, but he was able to deal with it. And even after three years of small town life, r could still hear the almost constant scream of police sirens and the blare of an horns. He missed it back home with his old friends and family, but he had become pretty acoustumed to Rome; and he kinda liked it here, though he'd never admit it. He had new friends and the new quiet was much less of a headache to deal with. But the eighteen year old senior was still the hotshot city boy. He was the tough guy people didn't like to mess with. Sidney was often described as a walking time bomb; you never knew when he was going to go off. However, he could also be the coolest guy you'd ever met. He wouldn't hurt you if you didn't push his buttons and, if you were his pal, he'd do just about anything for you. Great and loyal as they come... with a side of crazy. Sid has always been the kind of guy to do something stupid, just because it was stupid. He's not afraid to offend people or risk his life for something he wants to do. Another night our party had come to an end as he snuck back through his bedroom window, just in time for his cousin to come walking in. He caught his foot on the windowsill and crashed to the floor, "Jesus, Harleen, are you trying to kill me?"
She looked at her cousin, her mismatched eyes (one blue and the other brown) turned to slits in disapproval, and shook her head. "Sidney, someday Nan is gonna come in here while you're sneaking in. Then what?" she could see the faint bloodshot look in her vousin's eyes and she sighed, shaking her head. "You may just give her a heart attack if you come in high like you are now." She flicked her auburn brown hair over her should and crossed her arms. Sixteen year old Harleen, though she preferred Harley, had gone into the custody of her grandparents when her parents died in a car accident when she was six years old. She was a good girl, for the most part; a but of a tomboy who liked to romp and play with the guys. She was the friendliest girl you'd ever meet, not able to be mean to a soul. She couldn't stand people being mad at her or having a bad thin to say, and would usually end up baking sweets for anyone that fell into either category. He was definitely boy crazy but very charming and sweet. She could probably win over the heart of any boy she wanted, if she wasn't so shy and confuddle around the one she liked. Luke. She had talked to him many times and they were friends, but not very close. She had befriend him her freshman year, two years ago. One of Harley's friends was close and told her that Luke had a secret not many knew, and he wanted Toledo it that way. It itched Harley to find out what it was, but not nearly as much as it did to be able to call him her own. She sighed and shook her head, realizing she had been daydreaming about it while her cousin was giving her an odd look. "Uh... Come on, the bus'll be here any minute," she stammered, her small body clad in a dark green turtleneck and dark blue jeans turned and hurried out of the room.
Sidney rolled his dark blue eyes and tabs hand through his shaggy black hair. "Girls," he muttered before putting on a fresh set of clothes. A moment behind Harley, he popped into the living room to say goodbye to their grandparents. "See ya later, Nan," he said cheerfully, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Later, Pop," he clapped him on the back. "Oh, Sidney, aren't you taking a jacket?" his grandmother asked with concern. Sidney took the second pop tart from Harley's hand, ignoring her icy glare, and put it in his mouth as he pulled on a boot, "I'll be fine, Nana. Don't worry about me." He kissed her on the cheek again before he and his cousin hurried out to board the bus to school.

"See you later daddy." Mollie smiled, hugging her father. Her dad walked out of the house and Mollie went to go put her hair up and brush her teeth before she woke Dawn. She pulled her curly red hair back into a ponytail and slipped in her contacts. She then walked into the small bedroom that she and her daughter shared. "Dawn, baby girl it's time to wake up." She picked the child up from her crib and laid her on the changing table. "Ready to go to school?" she brushed the little girls hair out of her eyes. She changed her diaper quickly and started to get Dawn dressed, looking into the closet. She needed to get this child potty trained so she wouldn't have to worry about buying diapers anymore.
Mollie sighed "We need to go to the laundry mat." she told herself as she found few clean clothes for her daughter that would work in this weather. She finally found a pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt that said "too cute" on it in big bold letters. "Arms up!" she smiled. The bus would be coming soon and she needed to catch it. She and Dawn ate breakfast at school due to them not having enough money back at home. It was just Mollie her father and Dawn. Mollie's mother ran off when she was young and Dawn's dad refused to even acknowledge that he had a child and refused to pay child support either. Mollie tried her hardest though. Raising a two year old at the age of 17 wasn't easy and people defenetly talked and stared. Mollie was proud though, she loved her little girl and would never change that for the world.

Upon getting on the bus, Harley looked and saw Luke, getting slightly jittery. She followed her cousin and sat beside him, where she would remain only until her best friend Mollie would get on the bus. Her eyes darted toward Luke again and she smiled, he looked good today. His perfect brown hair and his beautiful brown eyes, his plaid shirt and jeans, his beautiful face. She hadn't seen him over the winter break, so it was good to see him again. She shook her head and looked away, not wanting to get caught.
Dawn smiled happily and tiredly when her mom picked her up out of the crib. "Merning, mommy!" She chewed on her finger and smiled when Mollie asked if she was ready to go to school. "Chool, chool," she shouted, clapping. Dawn listened to her mom as she dressed her. She loved her mommy and her grandpa and, since she had never met her daddy or her grandma, she never thought about them. She was too young to be plagued with thoughts and concerns about why she had never met them before.

Luke gave a small smile to Harley as she got on the bus, though he was mostly just preoccupied with his music to really pay attention to the way she had acted. He closed his eyes and leaned his head against the window. He could squeeze in a couple more minutes of sleep right? After all getting up at 5 in the morning to get himself prepaired was difficult when you had an 8 year old brother who always tried to steal your pins.
Mollie smiled and nodded "School school!" she tickled her belly lightly and looked up at the time "We have to get going or we're going to be late!" she quickly slipped shoes on the child and grabbed their coats and gloves for Dawn. Everything seemed so different now that she had a child. Mollie grabbed the two backpacks, one for her and one for Dawn and held Dawn close going out into the chilly January weather. She hated the snow. She hated the cold. It was just depressing and always seemed to put a damper on the day. Today put a damper on the day. She didn't want to go back, she had to so she could move out of this damn town forever, but that didn't mean she wanted to. Sure, they have pregnant girls at the school but so far Mollie has been the youngest, getting pregnant during the middle of their Freshman year, right around this time at the young age of 14. She wasn't the slut most thought of her as. She was far from it, that was her first time then BAM she was pregnant. Of course the actual sluts that don't even bother to use protection miraculously get lucky and don't get pregnant. Damn the man up there.
She looked up as the bus came. She stepped on quickly, at least it was a bit warmer on here right? She smiled as she saw Harley. Somebody who supported her. They had been best friends since Harley moved here and they were in the same 1st grade class. "Hey!" she sat in the seat across from Luke and giggled "Come hither my Harleen!" she smirked and sat Dawn in her lap "Grampa wanted me to give this to you." she handed a small toy to Dawn "He found it this morning."
